General Information
We are the Anomalous Phenomena Acquisition Society, or APAS for short, a group dedicated to the collection of anomalies for our own entertainment.
We are not a for profit organization, most of us have jobs and lives outside of the society, and see this as a hobby. That being said, money does not grow on trees, and there is an entry fee for joining us, which can be discussed at a later date. There are a few other ways of gaining funds, like auctions we host and lobbying in governments, the latter of which should not concern you. Our auctions vary from large to small, depending upon the items on display.
Why are we non-profit? Because every cent earned is spent on collecting/capturing our items, hiring mercenaries, and paying bills. These three necessities alone consume almost all of the money gained by the society.
The members that make up the APAS are, to summarize, diverse. The majority are businessmen, looking for a cheap thrill. Some are looking to rectify some wrong or fix a problem. Others include actors, politicians, and even criminals. However, the society has no bias, as long as you pay your dues and don't cause trouble, you are welcome.
With our diversity in mind, we have split most of our facilities into two sections, Formal and Informal. This is explained in further detail in the "Facilities" section.
The Founding
On August 12th, 1792, two wealthy men visited Norway for a business trip. These men stayed at a hotel in a small town, in which there were rumors about a monster terrorizing the locals. As a joke, one of the men said that he would give whoever captured the monster a massive amount of money. One day later, a man arrived with a giant in a cage, and asked for his reward.
They promptly paid the man, and became infatuated with the strange items of the world. They vowed to never return to the boring life they once knew and to collect more of these anomalies.

Facility Structure
Our facilities hold two purposes, to accommodate us, and to hold our anomalies. For the guests, there is typically a ballroom and some other rooms for lounging. Usually, the items are kept in a basement, or some other large locked off room. To actually contain the anomalies, we put them in mobile glass cases, and for the live ones we put air holes.
There are two main sections of each facility, Formal and Informal. The formal area is where the "civilized" events take place, such as wine tastings, auctions, etc. Meanwhile, the informal area is where our more eccentric guests stay to indulge in their most primal desires. Children or those who have severe medical conditions should not be in the informal areas.
The Catalog
The Catalog was built in 1954 as our base of operations. It remains to be one of the only sites still hidden from the Government. Most of us have never seen the Catalog, but is said to hold almost all of the society's anomalies.
